Tomlov 7” microscope camera + unique attachment

In this video I show you this nice digital microscope which I originally bought for soldering works. I want to start to work more with SMD components so I need a camera with a built-in display. I chose this camera because it has a reasonable image quality, I can record images and videos on an SD card, and I can connect the microscope to my PC via USB. However, I found one drawback which is the maximum available height under the camera. To overcome this issue, I designed and printed an attachment which makes it possible to attach the microscope to a microphone stand and have any arbitrary distance between the subject and the optics (obviously, within the capabilities of the optical system).

A few images and the downloadable 3D-file

Below you can see my setup with the microscope installed on the microphone arm. This way I can use the microscope with great flexibility and I can put it to where I need it. If you click the pictures you will be redirected to my affiliate link and you can buy the microscope if you want to.

The microscope in its natural environment. The whole camera is attached to a microphone arm where I originally have my camera for recording my videos.

The attachment setup from side view. A ball head is attached to the microphone stand, than a GoPro-compatible attachment is joined to my custom 3D-printed holder.
