Prototype of the tensile testing machine

Some parts are 3d printed so I can see them and readjust them before the final metal parts will be made with CNC. But that is a bit far away still.

The motor is a NEMA17 with a 1:100 planetary gear. 2 pieces of d=12 mm lead screw with 2 mm pitch (1 round pulls/pushes the nut by 2 mm) GT2 timing belt, 40 and 48 teeth pulleys on the motor and lead screws. Easy Driver stepper motor circuit.

The Arduino code needs some experimenting, because I am not satisfied with the ramping up of the motor. I also wrote a software for Windows, so I can control the whole setup from the computer through the serial port. The Arduino also sends some data to the computer, then the computer shows a live chart during the measurement.
