Building a cheap and simple solder fume extractor

During soldering, there is always some smoke. The fume created during soldering is toxic and it is not advised to inhale it. I have a fume extractor, but it is huge and it is very cumbersome to use it because it obstructs the work. So, I decided to buy some parts and create a smaller but more useful fume extractor. It consist of 2 pieces of 40 mm fans, 1 flexible aluminium tube and 2 pieces of 3d-printed ducts. The total cost of this equipment is less than $10, so it is quite cheap. I hope you will find it useful.

You can download the .stl file for the 40 mm x 40 mm fan duct.
